| Bike lifter apprehended, 5 stolen bikes recovered | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 20:Police apprehended an inter-state bike lifter and recovered 5 stolen motorcycles from his possession
According to police sources, a complaint was lodged at PP Hatli Morh by one Deepak Kumar son of Daya Nand of Sujanpur, district Pathankot (Punjab) on October 11 to the effect that his Motorcycle bearing registration No PB 35H-8062, Hero Honda CD Deluxe Model-2006 has been stolen.
On this Kathua police registered a case FIR No.377/2011 under section 379 of Ranbir Penal Code and investigation entrusted to ASI Daljit Singh of PP Hatli. During course of investigation IO arrested one suspect identified as Akshay Kumar son of Balbir of Govindsar Kathua and recovered the stolen motorcycle from his possession at village Govindsar.
During his sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed that he has stolen 4 more motorcycles. All the 4 motorcycles bearing registration No Nil, Freedom Topper Black, Ch. No. 07MM490264, Engine No.E55LM407562, without number, TVS Victor, Red colour Ch. No.3309F682750, Engine No.3309M688309, PB08AT- 6896, Engine No.05E08M06376 Hero Honda Passion and without number, Yamaha-Crux,Ch.No.02ESKA18945, Engine No.05KA118945 have been recovered from village Govindsar and seized under section 550 Cr PC.
