| DDC Doda sees off Haj pilgrims from Doda | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Doda, Oct 20: With the aim to see off the another batch of Haj Pilgrims from Doda District Deputy Commissioner Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan along with other officers, family members and friends of the 62 Haj Pilgrims gathered in Khellani Doda today to see off the second batch from Doda District who left for Srinagar today in three JKSRTC buses.
The pilgrims, mostly senior citizens, were unable to control their emotions when they bid goodbye to their families.
At Khellani the pilgrims have a brief stay where they were offered halva, tea and bread by the district administration in collaboration with Army.
As anticipated people thronged at the Khellani Doda and gave emotional send off to all the Hajj pilgrims.
The people from different parts of the Doda marched in groups singing religious prayers enroute. All the Hajj pilgrims left for the holly pilgrimage on scheduled time at 7.a.m. in three SRTC buses.
DDC asked them to pray for communal harmony and the development of the district. These 62 pilgrims include 18 pilgrims from Bhaderwah, 28 from Doda, 12 from Gandoh and 4 from Thathri.
