| 2-Days meeting of Principals of Army Public Schools concludes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, October 20 : A 2–day Western Command Meeting of Principals Army Public Schools organized under the aegis of Army Public School Jammu Cantt concluded .
On the concluding day, Anu Jandial, Principal of the host school once again welcomed all the dignitaries to the CPM at the venue.
The session began with the discussion on the “Need to meet psychological changes in adolescent in APSs”.
A team of 9 Corps through role play focused on developing an appropriate understanding of the conceptual framework of adolescent education. The objectives, guiding principles, scope and themes of adolescent education were discussed in accordance with significance of life skill to empower young people to respond to the real life situation in positive and responsible ways.
Professor Varun Sahni Vice-Chancellor University of Jammu elaborated on the topic “School Education System in our Schools”.
He said that education of children should be such which not only helps achieving academic excellence, but also helps honing of skills and tapping the talent of the child. He deliberated on the fact that teaching is not a soft profession, it is not a profession of convenience and should not be considered a last resort.
Col SK Koul Dir AWES Western Command gave a presentation on sponsored agenda points and his recommendation to which various reactions were received.
In the Open Forum Maj Gen BS Daulta AVSM VSM MD HQ AWES applauded the efforts of the Chairmen, Principals and teachers and congratulated them for excellent results in Board Exams.
