| Motorcycle thief held at Kathua | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 21: Police today arrested a motorcycle thief at Gobindsar in Kathua and
recovered five mobikes which he had stolen from different areas of the district and the
neighbouring Pathankote.
Police sources said a complaint was lodged with Hatli Morh police post by Deepak
Kumar of Sujanpur, Pathankote, that someone had stolen his motorcycle
(PB35H/8062).
During investigation into the case, cops picked up Akshay Kumar, son of Balbir of Gobindsar, and put him to sustained interrogation during which he allegedly confessed
to have stolen Deepak's motorcycle.
The motorcycle was later recovered from him by the cops, the sources added.
His further interrogation led cops to the recovery of four more motorcycles which he
had stolen during the past some time. One of these mobikes bore registration No
PB08AT/6896.
Police had registered a case against him and hoped to make more recoveries of stolen
vehicles at his instance.
