JKNPP’s six days awareness yatra concludes

JAMMU, October 21 : JKNPP concluded six days awareness yatra from 15th to 20th October 2011 under the chairmanship of Prof. Bhim Singh. The main objective of this yatra was too aware the people about the importance of October 27 for the J&K state.
Professor Bhim Singh during yatra appealed to the people of all sections of the society to celebrate October 27 as August 15 and January 26 so that a clear-cut message should go to those people who are challenging the Accession of J&K with the union of India this was stated by Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA, State President.

Mankotia also highlighted the problem being faced by the people who are residing adjoining the international border particularly in the tehsil Hiranagar and Samba district. He said that during last day of yatra at Hiranagar so many deputation of border area met Panthers Party leaders and highlighted their various issues including 20,358 kanal land of local farmers which is excluded from fencing.

He said that fencing should be extended up to zero line and the 20,000 thousands kanals of land which is indirectly controlled by Pakistan should be fully controlled by India so that the owner and farmers should freely cultivate their land without any pressure from Pakistan Army.

Mankotia further said that Rs. 5 crore crop compensation of these people of Hiranagar Tehisl is pending with Tehsildar Hiranagar since 2004, it should be released immediately. He demanded reservation to the people who are residing on international border on the pattern of LOC and ALC in Government jobs and other sectors.

He also demanded for construction of bridge on Tarnah Nallah between Hiranagar and Chokra village which connect around twelve border village.

Mankotia also demanded allotment of plots to people of border in Safer zone so that during disturbance at border these people can shift their families at Safer place, the issue of allotment of plots was agreed by previous governments many times but not allotted till date.

Mankotia warned the state and centre governments that if the problem of these people will not solve immediately than Panthers Party will come on roads to provide justice to these people. Others who were present Rajesh Padgotra, Provincial General Secretary and Shanker Singh Chib, Provincial Secretary.
