Ellaquai Dehati bank holds Kissan Mela

Srinagar Oct 21: Ellaquai Dehati Bank organized a loan mela at Batwina Ganderbal. District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Showket Ahmed Mir was Chief Guest and D.P.Sharma Dy. General Manager Reserve Bank of India was the Guest of honor.
The people of the Batawina and from adjacent villages participated in the programme. Loans to the tune of Rs 71 lacs under Kissan credit Card scheme were disbursed on spot among the 100 beneficiaries.

Speaking on the occasion A.K.Razdan Chairman of the Bank said that today’s programme of holding the loan Mela is a step forward towards the bank’s policy in reaching out to the rural masses with financial services.

He said that it is our endeavor to provide all credit facilities to farmers so that they can grow economically well.

Razdan said that my banks mission is to be front runner in providing the financial services to the needy ones.

Solar Home Lights were also delivered among the people of area.

Razdan urged the people to go for the solar home lights, which is hazardless and eco-friendly.

While delivering the solar lights on spot among the people he said that bank finance is available for the purchase of the solar home lights on confessional rates.

Later on Chairman Razdan highlighted the salient features of other bank products.

District Development Commissioner Ganderbal speaking on the occasion said that it is not possible for Government to provide the jobs to each and every one.

So the people should take the benefit of various income generating bank schemes. He said that in Ganderbal district majority of the underprivileged people are still unbanked. Banks should reach out to those areas and bring them into the fold of financial inclusion. He said that Ellaquai Dehati Bank is playing yeoman’s role in the economic development of the district by providing hassle free loans to the needy. He also emphasized that need for regular repayment of bank loans. He said that by repaying the loan in time the money is circulated back into the system through another loan aspirant.

D P Sharma, DGM Reserve Bank of India was the guest of honor on the occasion.
