Hundreds of youth joins PDP, express faith party’s policies
Youth are worst victims of wrong policies of NC led regime: PDP

JAMMU, Oct 21:Expressing its concern over increasing alienation of the people
towards the present regime headed by Omar Abdullah, Peoples Democratic
Party today said that youth are the worst victim of the wrong
policies being propagated by this dispensation.
Addressing a function organized to welcome large number of youth who
have joined PDP under the leadership of Gurdev Singh, party leaders
said that this regime has betrayed the younger lot because all the
promises made with the youth in 2008 assembly elections were remained
on papers. They said that during the last three years problems of
youth have increased manifold due to mis-governance of the present
government. They especially mentioned that backdoor appointments on
government jobs have started and touts of the ruling party are
collecting money from the people in exchange of giving government
jobs.
They said that the state has been gripped into unprecedented crises
due to governance deficit and failure of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah
to connect himself with the people. They especially mentioned towards
killing of National Conference worker HajiYousuf and said that this
killing has exposed rampant corruption in the government as well as in
the National Conference.
Pointing towards increasing day today problems of people with every
passing day, PDP leaders said that it was result of wrong policies of
the National Conference (NC) that state has been plunged into
unprecedented crises. “Performance of this regime appeared only on
papers because instead of addressing genuine problems of the masses
this government is more concerned about giving press statements or
conducting photo sessions”, they said.
Lambasting Omar Abdullah led coalition regime for its failure to solve
problems of the common masses, they said that this regime has failed
to bring transparency and accountability in the governance.
Party leaders maintained that legalizing corruption and nepotism was
the only noticeable achievement of the two year and half year tenure
of regime headed by NC.
Trilok Singh Bajwa, Thakur Balbir Singh, Shanti Devi, Falail Singh,
Rajinder Manhas, R K Bali, Capt Anil Gour, Nadeem Khan and others
addressed the meeting to welcome hundreds of youth who joined PDP.
Shamsher Singh and Puneet Jamwal have convinced hundreds of youth to
join PDP.
