| 7 days youth corps volunteer training programme organised | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, October 21 : Seven days National Youth Corps Volunteers Training Programme was jointly organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangthan and Department of Youth Services and sports culminated here at Shakti palace, Kathua .
Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Zahida Parveen Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.
District youth Coordinator NYK Som Dutt, officers and Officials of NYK and department of youth services and sports were present on the occasion. While giving the details about the seven days orientation programme in which 100 NYK volunteers participated, district youth coordinator NYK Som Dutt said that about 7700 NYK volunteers will get training under 7 days orientation programme in the different district of state.
CMO Kathua gave the lectures to the volunteers about the social evil female foeticide and deadly diseases AIDS. He suggested the ways and means to prevent this disease. The volunteers were given lectures on character building during the orientation programme .The volunteers were awarded about the various socials evils like drug addiction, corruption, dowry system and female feticide.
While speaking on the occasion DDC, Kathua said that youth can play an important role in the progress and development of nation She Said that NYK volunteers are a link between the administration and public.
