JU students and scholars observed martyrs Day Bijral appealed to the youth to be an eyes and ears of police

Jammu , Oct 21:The Students and Scholars of University of Jammu today in a function held at Prof. Gyan Chand Jain Seminar Hall, Department of Urdu, paid a rich floral tribute to the Indian Soldiers who sacrificed their selves for the nation.
S.S. Bijral, Retd. Inspector General of Police, CID, J&K was the Chief Guest. While Prof. Shohaib Inayat malik, Head, Dept. of Urdu remained as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Bijral applauded the spirit of the organizers for remembering the martyrs. He said that “they (martyrs) sacrificed themselves for the integrity, sovereignty and maintaining the brotherhood of the nation. They are in real sense the hero’s of country and we should feel proud on them.” Recalling the glorious history behind this day He informed that ‎this day 21st October Is observed as Martyrs day in entire police force of India..
In the presidential remarks Prof. Shohaib Inayat Malik also appealed to the students and scholars to spread the message among common masses, which in real sense be a tribute to our these national heroes.Earlier the welcome address was presented by Suresh Kumar, Research Scholar of the Department of Buddhist Studies while the proceedings of the programme were smoothly and beautifully conducted by Bhanu Partap of The Law School. Prominent among others who worked hard day and night for the success of the programmme include Gagan Sharma, Aman Bali, Joginder Singh Thakur, Gourav Sharma, Dinesh Singh Thankur and many others.
