| 220 Pouches of Liquor seized in Ramban | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 21: In its continued drive against illegal selling of liquor, Banihal Police recovered 220 Pouches of liquor of J&K Excise Department from Bankoot Banihal. Soon after receiving information that one Haq Nawaz S/o Mohd Afzal Wani R/o Bankoot Banihal is selling liquor illegally in Bankoot area, SHO P/S Banihal Inspector Mohd. Showket under the supervision of Sh. Anil Magotra, SP Ramban and Sh. Abdul Qayoom, SDPO Banihal raided during late hours at the location where he was selling the liquor illegally and recovered 220 pouches of liquor but taking advantage of darkness the culprit managed to escape.
In this connection a case FIR No. 190/2011 u/s 48(F) Excise Act has been registered against Haq Nawaz at Police Station Banihal. Raids are still on to apprehend the accused.
