| Land mafia kingpin arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

The mastermind behind the illegal encroachment and unauthorized constructions on state land in central Kashmir's Budgam district Nazir Ahmad, alias “Nazir Master” has been arrested by a special team of police on Friday, an official said here.
He has been sent to central jail, Srinagar on remand by Executive Magistrate, Tehsildar, Budgam, he said.
The arrest has been made under the anti-encroachment drive.
Nazir had grabbed over 10 kanals of land belonging to the government at Gousia Colony.
The demolition squad headed by the District CommissionerLand mafia kingpin put behind the bars on Thursday had levelled all the structures that were raised on the the land.
