| GDC Udhampur clinches championship trophy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udjhampur, Oct 22: The championship trophy of Inter-College Kabaddi Tournament for men was clinched by GDC Udhampur by 27-13 in the final match played between MAM College and GDC the host GDC Udhampur today.
Ashok Gupta IPS Director SKPA was the chief guest on the valedictory function .He witnessed the entire match and appreciated the enthusiasm with which the teams played the match.
He also gave away the Championship Trophy to the winner team.
Both the teams played well till the first half was over but during the last eight minutes the team of MAM College left the Court without the permission of the technical officials deputed by the Dept. of Youth Services and Sports and did not turn up despite repeated calls by the officials.
All the players of both the teams were given trophies and track suits by the host college as a token of encouragement.
The matches were officiated by Sanjay Sharma & Naveen Sharma umpires, Rakesh Sawhney & Romesh Sharma asstt. scorers, Ajit Singh scorer Ashok Sharma & Pushap Sharma referees, Pawan Kumar , Jaswinder Singh, Ajay Sharma, Rakesh Modi and Amit Sharma. Ravinder Tickoo, Rajesh Gupta , Udhay Bhano Kamal Kishore & Vijay Kumari were the organizers of the tournament.
