| Gujar Maha Sabha tour twin districts of South Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Oct 22: In order to access the problems being faced by Gujar and Bakarwals of twin districts Kulagm and Shopian, Eshfaq – ur – Rehman Poswal president Akhil Bartiya Gujar Mahasabha J&K conducted the tour of remote villages of the area.
During his visit Poswal found that area belongs to Gujar s still lack basic amenities including electricity, fresh water and road links etc.
He demanded implementation of schemes like IAY, NREGA and the schemes launched by Ministry of Tribal Affairs GOI.
He also conducted several meeting with Sarpanch , Panches and Numberdars of both district .
He sought help of elected representatives including MLAs , MPs to help out the Gujars and Bakerwals from poverty and backwardness. In this connection meeting of workers of Gujar Maha Sabha was also held at Aharabal Tangmarag to discuss the future strategy of the organization.
Showkat Ahmad Chara and Mohd Qasim Gorsi wer nominated as General Secretary of District Kulgam and Tehsil president on this occasion.
Nizam-ud-din Banya, Jamal Din Gorsi , Fazal Hussian Gorsi , Mohd Sadeeq Bumla.Ali Mohd Gorsi , Mohd Kasim , Riyaz Ahmad, Nisar Ahmad Lone were accompanied the president of Gujar Maha Sabha.
The areas covered dunging twin district tour include Yarikha Gujar Basti,Dob Daban, Lankhal , Halen Balsrin Kutmargi ,Koral, Khur, Batapora Gujar Basti.Nandi Marag, Margibal , Kandi Marag,Dood Kuchan ,Hompathri and Zarari.
