| Employees of M&RE division Kishtwar on indefinite strike | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kishtwar Oct 22: Employees of electric M & RE Division Kishtwar are on indefinite strike since Friday in support of demand for release of pay.
The employees were protesting against officials for not drawing their salaries from last two months due to seizer of head register by the Principal and District Session judge Kishtwar for compensation of court case titled Abdul Latif keen vs state and others.
Even though the agitating employees has approached to the higher authorities from time to time for allotment of funds,but despite repeated requests higher authorities had not released the compensation amount till date as a result of which employees suffers badly due to non availability of regular pays as the festivals like Diwali and Eid are round the corner which force these employees to chose the confrontation path.
The agitating employees called upon Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who also happens to be the power minister to direct Commissioner Secretary Power and Commissioner Secretary Law to intervene into the matter so as to find the amicable solution of the problem due to which above 200 employees are suffering due to want of pay.
