| NMC seeks early release of salary of govt employees | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 22: National Mazdoor Conference today appealed Chief Minister to personally intervene and direct concerned authorities to release advance salary of state government employees and daily wagers working in the various government departments prior to Diwali festival.
In a handout issued here today, President of National Mazdoor conference (NMC) Subhash Shastri said that in the last days of the month, employees and daily wagers face difficult position due to high prices of essential commodities. He further hoped that as goodwill gesture, Omar would ensure the release of salary well before Diwali festival so that the employees celebrate Diwali with great enthusiasm.
In the memorandum, Shastri also demanded release of DA due from July last in favour of the employees and pensioners as the same installment of DA have already been released by the central government along with bonus to its employees since long. Regularization of daily wagers working in various government departments, issuance of regularization orders of 180 daily wagers working in the Rural development departments, grant of disturbed area allowance in favour of both central and state government employees working in the disturbed areas, continuance services of seasonal labour, casual labour working in the PWD and irrigation departments were other demands highlighted in the memorandum.
