| Women empowerment is top priority of Technical Education : Chib | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar,Oct 22:
The Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R. S. Chib today inaugurated the 20-beded hostel block of Women Industrial Training Institute, Bemina.
Director Technical Education, Mr. Saurabh Bhagat, , Managing Director Mr. Dalip Thusu, SE Directorate of Technical Education, Mr. Jagjit Singh and Secretary State Board of Technical Education, Mr. Nazir Hussain Malikj were present on the occasion.
It was informed that the hostel block has been constructed by J&K Housing Board at a cost of Rs. 73 lakhs and will provide free boarding to the trainees belonging to far-flung areas.
While addressing the huge gathering laid emphasis on the skill development mission under which 40 lakhs persons will be trained by 2022 by the State government. He stated that directorate shall strengthen women education by starting women ITIs/Women Wings and hostel facilities.
The Minister said that department shall seek funds from Centre for advanced institute for training of faulty to improve quality of training in institution.
Mr. Chib also flagged off three newly procured buses for Tourist Guide Trade introduced in ITI Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla.
