Dharmarth Trust employees pay tributes to Maharaja Gulab Singh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Oct. 22: In connection with the 219th Birth Anniversary celebration of founder Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir State and J&K Dharmarth Trust, employees of the Trust performed Havana in the premises of Shree Raghunath Ji temple complex here and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the people of the state in general and the royal family in particular. At a simple but impressive function held under the chairmanship of president, J& K Dharmarth Trust, Thakur Divakar Singh , senior officer and staff of the Trust garlanded portrait of Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji at his immortal Smadhi. Paying glowing tribute in the memory of Maharaja Gulab Singh, Divakar Singh, said that the present day achievements in the State are the outcome of the struggle of Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji. “Maharaja Sahib has shown us the path of virtuous service and dedication and with this, onerous responsibility has fallen upon all of us to tread this path for greater development of the state and Trust” he added. He asked them to shed the tendency of lethargical carrying out routine work. Reminding employees of their duties towards devotees, Divakar Singh said several lakhs of people from outside the state come to Jammu during their pilgrimage to Holy Cave Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji and they also visit historical Shree Raghunath Ji temple here. He said our treatment with devotees should be courteous and compassionate. He revealed that benevolent Chairman of the Trust Maharaja Karan Singh, is well aware of the economic problems of employees and he has increased their emoluments accordingly. Earlier, Secretary J&K Dharmarth Trust, Shashi Khajuria complemented Maharaja Gulab Singh for his significant role in promotion of Sanatan Dharam and creation of Dharmarth trust. He asked employees to redouble their efforts to take Trust to new high.
