| CPI (M) regional committee meet held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 23: Meeting of Jammu Regional Committee of CPI (M) was held in its office chamber under the chairmanship of comrade Sham Prasad Kesar its secretary.
Regional committee decided that the party will focus on the issues during one week campaign in Jammu region which will include curb on price rise and ensure universal right to food. Taking firm action on all corruption cases and adopt an effective Lokpal Act.
It also demanded ensuring supply of fertilizers at subsidized prices to farmers and stop black marketing of urea. Steps to curb unemployment and fill up of all vacancies in government posts, stopping of FDI in the retail sector, protect the interests of small shopkeepers and traders. Regional committee also demanded that the State government should immediately resolve the problems of paddy growers of Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts in particular and state in general.
