| GEI celebrates annual day | | Chib for providing technical education to the youths of the state | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, OCTOBER 23- Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions, Purkhoo Camp, Domana & Gurha Brahmana (Patoli), Akhnoor Road, Jammu celebrated its Annual Day & Prize Distribution Function on Sunday at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
Minister, Medical & Technical Education, Youth Services & Sports, Mr. R.S. Chib. was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Prof. Rajive Gupta, Director, Colleges Development Council, University of Jammu, Mr. Farooq Khan, DIG Jammu-Kathua Range and N.H. Malik, Secretary, SBOTE, J&K Govt were the Guests of Honour on the occasion.
The function commenced with the lighting of lamp by dignitaries followed by welcome address by Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions. Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JEGI presented the resume of achievement registered by various Institutions functioning under the aegis of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions.
The students of the colleges presented scintillating cultural bonaza on the occasion which received great applause from the audience. Saraswati Vandana, Group Song, Fashion Show, Indian Classical Dance, Dogri Dance, Western Dance, Gidha, Mask Dance and Bhangra were main attractions of the event. The performers of such items added mesmerizing glamour and color to the function. The Qwali, Skit and performance of Band also enthralled the audience.
Mr. distributed trophies and certificates to the students who have excelled in academics, sports and extra co-curricular activities. During the distribution of trophies and certificate, Minister was accompanied by Jenab Farooq Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasized the need to train more and more youth from J&K State in the field of Technical Education. He also stressed upon the role of Private Organization in attaining the specified goals in various fields. He lauded the role of Jamwal group of educational institution and congratulated the management of group for achieving very high standards in education and other co-curricular activities.
The vote of thanks was given by Prof. J.R. Dhotra, Director, Institute of Management Sciences in his address he expressed gratitude to all dignitaries and guest for sparing their valuable time for making the event memorable.
Th. Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI also graced the occasion.
Others who were present on the occasion were Dr. Bhopinder Singh, Principal, GCET, Prof. Gurbachan Singh, Principal, Govt Women Polytechnic, Prof. K.G. Gupta, Principal, IECS Polytechnic, Prof. K.R. Sharma, Principal, North Polytechnic and Mrs. Neena Sudan, Principal, National College of Education. Mrs Supriya Anand, Mrs Amita Saharan & Mrs Meenakshi Kapoor were cultural co-ordinators for the event while Dr. Ajay Singh Jamwal, Er. H.C. Vaid, Er. Rajneesh Magotra, Er. Dinesh Gupta, Mr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Er. Amit Sharma and Mr. Navneet kotwal coordinated various other activities.
