Bhan hints at change of CM in Jan 2012 | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 23: Senior Congress leader Ashok Bhan today hinted at change of Chief Minister InJanuary 2012. He was addressing a gathering of Kashmiris at New Delhi today. "The cadres have legitimate expectations that their demand of Congress party taking the lead role in the government with change of CM in January 2012 would be accepted by Sonia Gandhi", he hoped. Bhan claimed that the change will accelerate the developmental works launched by Congress CM, ensure equitable regional balance, the employment, return of displaced Kashmiri Pundits with dignity to their homeland and efficient governance. Taking a dig at Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah; senior Congress leader Ashok Bhan today said the Congress had made inroads in the state particularly in the Valley. Bhan said Omar was trying to appease the radical political elements in the state to cover up his political and administrative incompetence. "He (Omar) never discusses important issues in Coordination Committee. On his recent utterances, he has been rebuffed by Defense Ministry," Bhan said. |
