srinagar, Oct 23: Unveiling plot behind September 7, 2011 New Delhi High Court blast and reasons thereafter, National Investigation Agency (NIA) has said that communal clashes of 2008 which took place in Kishtwar had provoked the accused.
Sources said that communal clashes of 2008 in Kishtwar District which took place after the killing of separatist leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz during Muzafarabad Chalo march on August 11, 2008 had serious impact on the minds of youngsters involved in this blast. NIA maintains that the accused carried out the blast outside Delhi High Court to avenge killing of two persons including 11 year old Shabir Ahmed working as a domestic help during Kishtwar riots.
Sources added that riots had left serious impact on the youngsters involved in carrying out the blast, added the sources. They said that what irked the youth was the fact that even after lapse of more than three years, no action had been taken against the culprits involved in this incident from both the sides.
Sources disclosed that failure of administration to arrest culprits involved in killing of teenager Shabir Ahmed, who was shot dead by the gunmen near Gudhali Chowk Kishtwar, few meters away from CRPF bunker resulted in youngsters resorting to revenge. It was in retaliation to this incident; NIA sources said that the two Malik brothers Wasim and Junaid alongwith Amir Abbas Dev, Amir Kamal@Akram planed and executed the blast.
According to the sources, killing of 38 years old Maqbool Ahmed shattered Amir Abbas Dev's mind. Deceased Mohammad Maqbool happened to be the maternal uncle of Dev, where as Amir Ali Kamal@Akram, who was doing polytechnic course from Jammu, was reportedly humiliated by a police officer, when he (Amir) was sitting outside his home.
After this incident, Amir left his studies and joined HM militants in Kishtwar, since than he (Amir) became a famous name among the local Muslim youth, added the sources. As far as Malik brothers are concerned, NIA sources said that Dr. Wasim was greatly influenced by ideology of militants belonging to terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed since he was first arrested in the year 2005 along with Jaish militant Mohammad Saleem alias Shamsher Kanna when he was only 17 year old.
Sources said that Dr. Wasim was also influenced by Pakistani Jaish militant Hassan Bahi. They added that Hassan Bahi was arrested from one of the relatives of Dr. Wasim on August 7, 2006 and on next day when police party took him to his hideout, militants opened indiscriminate firing on police party and in the mean time, Hassan tries to escape from police custody and got killed.
Sources maintained that after returning from Dhaka, Dr. Wasim came to know about Kishtwar communal clashes and joining of his friend Amir Kamal into the ranks of militancy, Dr. Wasim became a fanatic Muslim. It was after Kishtwar communal clashes that he got further close to militant and not only started recruiting the youth into the ranks of militancy through Azhar Ali Butt but also got transformed into the well known asset for the militant organization.
Sources said that NIA found out that Wasim has become binding link between various militant organizations working in Kishtwar District, as well as in Bangladesh where he went for pursuing his medical education. Sources said that, as and when radical groups in Bangladesh approached Dr. Wasim, he easily got trapped and started working for them and successfully managed to execute blast outside New Delhi High Court on September 7, 2011 resulting in killing of 16 persons and injury to 80 others.
