BJP to launch 'Jan Jagran Yatra' on Nov 2 in Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Oct 24: Ahead of Lal Krishan Advani’s ‘rath yatra’ against corruption, state Bharatiya Janata Party is going to launch 10-day long ‘Jan Jagran Yatra’ on November 2 from four districts of Jammu region. "The ten-day ‘Jan Jagran Yatra’ would begin from different districts of Jammu region, seeking Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s resignation besides raising the issue of corruption," Shamsher Singh Manhas, BJP State president told reporters here today. Mr Manhas said the yatra would be launched on November 2 from Hiranagar in Kathua district, Paddar in Kishtwar district, Samba district and Poonch district. "From Hiranagar, the yatra will be led by me, from Paddar it will be led by senior leader Dr Nirmal Singh, from Samba, MLA Ashok Khajuria and from Poonch, Chief Whip and MLA Jugal Kishore would lead the processions," the state president said. He added that the yatra from Hiranagar and Paddar would culminate at Reasi and yatra. started from Samba and Ponch would culminate at Jourian on November 11. "The yatra will expose to the 'aam aadmi' about the present functioning of the NC-Congress coalition in the state," he added. He said Mr Advani’s yatra would be welcomed with fanfare in Jammu on November 16 and would address the gathering at Dusshera Ground, Gandhi Nagar.
