| Militant hideout busted, mines, detonators, grenades recovered | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Oct 24: A militant hideout was unearthed and a large cache of arms and ammunition, including mines, detonators, grenades and boosters were recovered in the frontier district of Kupwara, a Defence Ministry spokesman said here this afternoon.
He said a joint operation was launched by State Task Force of Jammu and Kashmir police and Army at Tekipora Anderbug forest in the frontier district of Kupwara following a tip off about the militant hideout.
During the searches in the woods, security forces unearthed the hideout and recovered war likes stores, he said.
The recovery included six mines, 15 detonators, three RPG boosters, hand grenades, 48 rounds of UMG and AK-47 ammunition, alongwith 60 Kg of rice and 30 kg of atta.
