| Narrow escape for Simula XI in DPL T20 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 24: Simula XI had a narrow escape against Ishar XI when former emerged victorious by just one run in the ongoing second round of the Diwali Premier League T20 Championship at MA Stadium here today.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Simula XI made 132 runs losing all their wickets. Sourav was top scorer with 25 runs while Sameer and Vikram added valuable 19 and 18 runs respectively. From Ishar XI, Yasir, Salim and Pavit shared two wickets each.
In reply, Ishar XI fell short of one run to level the opponent total with five wickets in hand. Suhail made highest 61 runs while Atul contributed 46. Vikram and Sameer claimed a wicket each from winners Simula XI.
For his superb batting, Suhail of Ishar XI was declared man of the match.
