| Police apprehended 5 gamblers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 24:Police today arrested five gamblers and recovered Rs 22,100 as gambling amount from their possession.
According to police sources, a police party from police station Arnia conducted raid at village Selhar, Arnia and nabbed five gamblers identified as Sunil Kumar son of Prem Pal Caste Ramdassi of Gandli, Arnia, Joginder Singh son of Gurdass Singh of Kirpind, Tarsem Lal son of Amar Nath caste Ramdassi of Gandli, Dharamveer son of Ragu Dass of Gandli, Dilbag Singh son of Major Singh of Selhar.
Police seized Rs 22,100 as gambling amount and playing cards from the spot. A case has been registered against the accused under Gambling Act.
