| Humming Buds celebrates Diwali with a difference | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 24: Humming Buds, the pre-school of Model Academy celebrated eco-Diwali, which coincided with make a difference day on 22nd October at SOS Home, Channi Rama. Make A Difference Day is a day of doing good to create a wave of kindness & help build stronger, happier & safer communities to make the world a better place to live in.
All the children were dressed in traditional dresses.
A beautiful Rangoli was made with the help of different coloured rice and pulses.
After the Diwali Pujan & distribution of sweets, the concept of Diwali, the traditional story of homecoming of Lord Rama and tips for celebrating safe & smokeless Diwali were given by the teachers.
The kids gifted the items they had brought with them like clothes, toys & eatables. Then the kids of both the institutions involved themselves in making of craft items like Lakshmi Footprints, Swastik Sign, Fiery Firework Etching, Toran, Ganesh Bunting, and Paper Lantern & Diya making with play dough.
Before coming back, everyone lighted diyas & candles.
The chairman & the director of MIER, Arun Gupta & Renu Gupta greeted all the kids & the staff members for the coming new year.
On this occasion Adit Gupta-Joint Director, Rupa Gupta-Principal, Ruchika Gupta- Project Director Humming Buds, Usha Gaddoo- Vice Principal & Gayatri Kotwal –Primary Incharge were also present.
