Court directs VO to proceed against Director CDC | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 24: Additional Session Judge (Anticorruption) today directed the Vigilance Organization to take appropriate action under law against Director CDC for demanding illegal gratification. The order was passed in a complaint filed by Tilak Raj Kohli, Chairman, Shastri Memorial College of Education, Reasi through his counsel Deepak Kumar Atri against. Rajeev Gupta Director, College Development Council, University of Jammu, In the complaint it has been alleged that Rajeev Gupta has biased attitude towards the Institution of the complainant (Tilak Raj Kohli) and the accused granted one seat to the complainant's Institution for the session 2.009-10 in order to give undue advantage to the nearby college. That in a contempt proceeding before the Hon'bIe High court of Jammu & Kashmir, The counsel for University made a statement before the bench on 13.05.2011 that the intake capacity of the petitioner's college has been increased by 30 seats vide order dated 11.11.2010 and which was never communicated to the Petitioner / complainant for extraneous consideration. The complainant was called by the Rajeev Gupta, Director CDC, Jammu University in his office and demanded illegal gratification for taking examination of 30+2 candidates of his college and also sent a specimen of the affidavit to sworn through Karnail Singh, Clerk in which a was specifically mentioned that Tilak Raj Kohli Chairman will withdraw all the matters pending before the Hon'ble High Court of Jammu & Kashmir including the contempt petition. |
