| Vishwakarma day observed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 27:A function to mark the Vishwakarma Day was held here today.
Member Legislative Council (MLC) and Vice President Pradesh Congress Committee was the chief guest on the occasion.
The function was organised by President Vishwakarma Sabha Udhampur Radheysham Manhas.
Speaking on the occasion, Khajuria said that there is only one Vishwakarma temple in the town which is famous place of worship of God Vishwakarma and it is also a place for promoting secularism in the area because people of different sections come here and worship God Vishwakarma.
He said that he had provided financial aid for the renovation of this temple and will also provide funds for its further development. Khajuria hoisted flag and took part in the Puran Ahuti. He also honoured some “Karigars” for their outstanding work. Kehar Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Bikram Singh, Bishan Singh, Prem Nath Dogra and Lal Jee were the prominent who were honoured in the function.
