| Vishwakarma Divas celebrated at Udhampur | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, OCT 27:- A programme was organized by Vishwakarma celebration committee, Udhampur to mark the Vishwakarma Divas at Vishwakarma Mandir Udhampur here on Thursday.
Member Legislature Council, Mr. Yash Pal Khajuria was the chief guest while MLA, Chenani, Mr. Krishan Chander Bhagat was the guest of honor on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion the MLC said that Lord Vishwakarama the deity of all craftsmen and architects is believed to be the architect and the master of all machinery and equipments being used.
He said that the Lord Vishwakarma divas is celebrated to inspire craftsmen, artisans and workers and propagated a feeling of dignity of labour amongst the general people that further inculcated a sense of pride in craftsmen and labour class.
The MLC complimented the organizing committee and also extended his full support and assurance to fulfill their genuine demands in near future.
Later, the MLC also honour the persons for their dedication and devotion in the technical field. The celebrations started with the flag hoisting of religious flag, Bhajan recitation and Shoba Yatra was also conducted during the celebration. Mass feasting was also conducted to mark the occasion.
Among others, President Vishwakarma celebration committee, Mr. Radhey Shyam and prominent citizens including Dr, Chander Parkash, Advocate Surinder Khakuria, Dr. Jagdish Parsar, Mr. Ashok Bakshi, Mr. Vijay Manhas, Mr. Ved Parkash were also present on the occasion.
