DDC inspects FCI Procurement Centres | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, OCTOBER 27- To inspect the facilities made available for the convenience of the farmers for selling their produce(Paddy crop), Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Ms Zahida Parveen Khan visited the FCI Procurement Centre, at Palli and Sanji More ( Beri Chack), here today. During the inspection of Palli More Procurement Centre, the DDC directed the concerned department to shift the centre to some nearby location because the existing place is not fit for the purpose. She directed the Agriculture Officer to start procurement process as per the guidelines of the FCI. The DDC also inspected Sanji More procurement centre and also passed instructions to the concerned department to start the process of procurement by October 29 as per notified guidelines of FCI The Officials of the FCI informed the DDC that tendering process for the procurement will start on October 28, 2011 Xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Page 5 Only 4 PoK guests among 38 people cross sides on LoC SRINAGAR: Only four fresh guests from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here this afternoon while 14 Kashmiris crossed the Line of Control (LoC) to meet their relatives separated in 1947 on the other side. Official sources told that four fresh guests from PoK arrived here at Kaman Post, the last Indian military post on the LoC in Uri sector after crossing the Aman Setu (peace bridge) on foot. They said 14 Kashmiris crossed over to other side of the LoC to meet their relatives in the PoK. They included six women and a child. Similarly 20 PoK residents, who completed ther stay here, returned to their homes. The bus service is operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of PoK, to enable the families divided in 1947 to meet each other.
