| INTUC observes Vishwakarma day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 27:The Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) celebrated the "Vishwakarma Day" at Kunjwani Workshop of Ground Water Division Jammu.
The programme was organised under the chairmanship of Shiv Kumar Sharma, the State President of INTUC
BR Dogra, Chief Engineer PHE department, Jammu was the chief guest and other officers and Ministerial Staff/ INTUC Workers which where present at function, performed the Pooja of Bhagwan "Vishwakarama” with traditional devotion.
After performing the Pooja, Shiv Kumar Sharma, State President of INTUC highlighted the philosophy of Bhagwan Vishwakarama. He described "His" contribution to our culture very relevant for the development of the world all over even today.
On the occasion Shiv Kumar Sharma thanked Minister for PHE, I & FC, Taj Mohi-ud-din Shah and BR Dogra, Chief Engineer PHE Jammu for redressel of long pending demands of PHE employees. Release of 1 1/2 % day salary in favour of filed Staff of PHE Department and for authentication of record of casual / seasonal / community participation workers of PHE Department upto November 2005.
Sharma also requested to the higher authorities to redress their other pending demands at the earliest possible time, viz. Regularization of Daily rated workers who have completed the seven years of service, authenticate the records of workers who have been engaged before Nov. 2005, but not included in the list recently issued, release of DA instalment at par with central government employees, removal of pay anomalies of Ministerial Staff and transfer of field staff who have completed their tenure are working 100-150 kilometers away from their house stations and also to authenticate of the records of works who have been engaged after 2005 to till date.
