| Narcotic smuggler arrested, 4 kg charas recovered | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, October 27:Continuing with the special drive against drug menace in City, Jammu Police arrested a Kashmiri narcotics smuggler and recovered 4 kilogram of charas from his possession.
A police party of Bakshi Nagar Police Station during a specially organized naka near Pawan Ice Cream upon a specifically generated intelligence noticed a suspicious Kashmir man who was passing by on foot along with a bag in his hand from Gurah Morh towards Pawan ice- cream and tried to hide himself from the Police Personnel. He was intercepted and stopped by the active and alert Police Personnel on the Naka duty and subjected to thorough frisking. Police recovered a consignment of four kilograms of charas hidden by him in his bag. He has been identified as Abdul Rashid S/o Mohammad Sultan R/o Mehjoor Nagar, China Colony Srinagar who is a Tata-Sumo driver also and had brought the consignment of the contraband from Srinagar to be delivered at Jammu.
A case FIR No. 154/2011 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act P/S Bakshi Nagar has been registered and further investigation of the case is going on.
