| Rich Tribute paid to Brig. Rajinder Singh | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Samba. 27th Oct. An impressive function was organized on the Martyrdom day of Brig. Rajinder Singh, MVC at his birth place Rajinderpura (Bagoona) in District Samba.
Madan Lal, MP (Lok Sabha) was the Chief Guest of the function who while speaking on the occasion highlighted the saga of bravery and sacrifice made by Brig. Rajinder Singh for the State of J&K.
The contingent of Army from 92 Infantry Brigade organized floral wreath laying ceremony and gave gun salute to the Martyr on the occasion.
A large number of Ex-Army Officers among prominent citizens of Rajinderpura and adjoining villages and school children attended the function. A colourful cultural programme was also presented by children from various Govt. and Private Schools of the area on the occasion.
District Development Commissioner and Retd. Maj. Gen Goverdhan Singh also laid wreath for homage to the war hero and while speaking on the occasion highlighted the act of bravery of Brig. Rajinder Singh. S. Manjit Singh also paid homage and speak during the occasion.
The family members of Brig. Rajinder Singh including his daughters Mrs. Urvashi Pathania, Bimla Pathania and Usha Parmar were also present on the occasion.
During the occasion, the locals also demanded provision of a tubewell and other developmental works in the village. The Member of Parliament assured that their demands shall be fulfilled very soon.
