| Demands for removal of Pathania gains momentum | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 27: Oct: Agitated over the lack of response from the Vice-Chancellor of Central University on the issue of removal OSD (Admn) Dr P S Pathania from the post, large number of National Secular Forum NSF activists shouting slogans against the Vice-Chancellor of Central University and OSD (Admn). Addressing a media here today, NSF president Vikas Sharma said, "There are many cases of corruption pending against Dr Pathania in University of Jammu. He committed several frauds in JU misusing his official positions. Now, the cases are being probed by high level enquiry committee headed by Chief Secretary Madhav Lal."
NSF State President Vikas Sharma also said the Vice Chancellor, Dr S S Bloeria, who is himself an honest and upright person, should sack an official against whom corruption cases are pending.
"The OSD to Vice Chancellor CUJ, P S Pathania, who is not only incompetent but also corrupt official, is misusing his position. The Vice Chancellor should take serious notice of it and immediately remove him till corruption charges are pending against him," he said.
He further said Pathania had been involved in decision making process and there is every possibility that he may resort to corrupt practices.
"We appeal the President of India, who is the visiting Chancellor of Central University, and the Vice Chancellor to remove Pathania from his post till corruption charges are pending against him," the NSF leader said. Among those who were present in the protest included Surjit Choudhary, Ravi Choudhary, Sukdev Singh, Narinder Singh, Rajat Raina, Sunil Choudhary, Sunil, Azaj Shah, Shafqat Malik and others.
