Shah's mysterious death haunts NC men | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Oct 27: Though the people in the state are eagerly waiting for report of the judicial committee to probe into the mysterious death of National conference activist in the state in general and Kashmir valley in particular feel dejected and have lost their faith in party leadership. The NC activists perturbed over the mysterious death of their party colleague whom they missed on the occasion of Diwali yesterday and will continue to miss him on the festival of Eid-ul-zuha next month are totally perturbed over the killing. According to party sources the death has haunted the NC workers and staired the party leadership in the face as every activist in the party says that NC has no longer been an organization which it was during the time of Sher-e-kashmir Shiekh Mohammed Abdullah and Mirza Afzal Beg. The people who had nurtured the party for decades together are now feeling disillusioned after the cash for vote scam has been unmasked and startling disclosures were made by Shah prior to his death and some of his colleagues after his death. Sources said that party activists say that this is unbelievable that such would have been the party activists in a party which was on fore front in Quit Kashmir movement. "We have given our sweat blood to party and remained loyal to it for decades together and if such would be reward of our dedication and service then what is fun of being in the party" said Abdul Jabar a loyal NC activist from down town in Srinagar. Same were the views of his another colleague Mohd Shaban from Soura. He said we had blindly supported NC even during the turmoil period and stood like a rock against all evils that tried to debase the NC in valley. "We can never expect that leadership will turn so hostile to its workers and can't believe that money is demanded for becoming a minister or MLC while loyalty and dedication has no value before the party leadership. |
