Lecturers’ Forum welcomes sixty residential schools’ decision | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Oct 29: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum has welcomed the decision of Government for establishing sixty residential schools in the State. The central executive of the Forum which met at Jammu under the Chairmanship of H.D Qureshi, its state president has congratulated the Minister for Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed for the landmark decision. The house expressed its satisfaction that finally the Government has conceded the view point of the Forum and decided to establish 60 residential schools in the State. H.D Qureshi the state president on this occasion expressed his gratitude to the Minister for Education for the bold decision that the students are being provided the facilities of residential schools in the State. Qureshi expressed his satisfaction that with the establishment of residential schools the goal of “Academic Excellence and Quality Education” will be achieved at par with Novidya Vidyalayas and Kenderya Vidyalas where the residential facilities for faculty is also available. He appealed the Minister for Education for keeping provision of residential accommodation in the institutions at senior school level under RASA, especially in the remote and rural areas of the state. Others who spoke on the occasion include Charan Dass and Manmeet Bali both vice president, N. S Jamwal general secretary, Ashwani Sharma chief organizer and B.D Sharma district president Jammu, O.P. Katoch state coordinator besides many others. B.D Sharma Chief spokeperson of the Forum released the proceedings to the press.
