10.5 kg charas seized, 3 held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 29:Police arrested three narcotic smugglers and recovered a consignment of charas weighing 10.5 kilogram valuing lakhs in the international market. The catch was made possible when on specific information SHO Nagrota Parvez Sajjad and SDPO Nagrota Faisal Qureshi laid a naka in Bantlab area, said SP Rural Rakesh Sharma while addressing a press conference here today. SP Rural Rakesh Sharma said that during naka checking police team intercepted Mahindra Xylo bearing registration number JK03C-4188 moving towards Jammu from Srinagar. On being frisked police recovered the consignment concealed in the vehicle. The narcotic smuggler identified as Mohd Amin son of Ali Mohd of village Waripora, Kulgam, Ashok Kumar son of Sidhy Brawla of village Dhoon, Akhnoor and Deepak Kumar son of Ram Lal of village Kote Garhi, Akhnoor were arrested on spot. A case under section 8/20/60 NDPS act has been registered against the accused.
