| Breast cancer awareness camp organized at Maharishi Dayanand Hospital | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , Oct 30:On the occasion of Breast cancer awareness month, a Free breast cancer awareness camp was organized at Maharishi Dayanand Hospital, Rehari Chungi here today in association with Radiations of Hope (a cancer care initiative) supported By Aureate Cancer Foundation.
Apart from consultation to breast cancer patients by Dr Deepak Abrol, Cancer specialist, Psychological counselling was done by Psychiatrist Dr Yasir Malik, Dr Sandeep Kour( Lecturer) GMC, gave a lecture on prevention and early detection of breast cancer .
Education material about techniques of self breast examination was distributed among attendees.
Free screening and Mammography for breast cancer patients were done at Jammu health care.
On this occasion a pledge was imparted to volunteers to aware the general masses about early detection and life style modification to prevent cancer.
For this purpose a group of Volunteers -: ONCOHEALERS was also formed.
Apart from cancer patients camp was attended by general public at large.
Dignitaries from various walks of life attended the occasion and acknowledged the initiative. President Jammu Yatri Bhawan Pawan Shastri and Mission Parivar India offered their full support for such a noble cause.
Camp was co-ordinated by Dr Deepak Abrol, a Cancer specialist.
