Kargil Martyrs’ T20 Cricket Tourney | Amit butchers FRCC bowlers, Bhadrore XI wins by 2 wkts | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 30: Swashbuckling Amit Sharma of Bhadrore XI sent the Fire Rangers Cricket Club (FRCC) bowlers on a leather-hunt and scored a quick-fire century (105) in just 58 balls with the help of 8 delectable boundaries and 9 towering sixes to help his team script a convincing win by two wickets in the Kargil Martyrs’ T20 Cricket Tournament, which commenced at Satwari, here today. The tournament in which 32 teams drawn from different parts of Jammu are participating is being organised by Kashyap Sports Club under the supervision of Ravinder Singh and Rahul Chaudhary. Earlier, batting first, FRCC XI scored a decent total of 172 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing six wickets in the process. Bunty was the top scorer with 18 ball 37 runs including four fours and two sixes while Romy and Mithu contributed 30 and 19 runs to the total respectively. For Bhadrore XI, Rishu scalped 2 important wickets, while Raina and Vishal claimed 2 wickets each. Chasing a formidable total of 173 runs, Bhadrore XI, rode on a splendid ton by murderous on-slaughter Amit Sharma and registered a resounding win by 2 wickets as the team chased the required target in 18.5 overs by losing 8 wickets in the process. Vishu and Devinder chipped in with 16 and 12 runs respectively. For FRCC, Bunty and Romy took 2 wickets each, while Ajay claimed one. Amit Sharma of Bhadrore XI was adjudged man of the match for his superb ton.
