JKNPP heavyweights address public rally in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Oct 31: Jammu Kashmir National Panthers party today organized a massive public rally at Kishtwar which was addressed by senior party leaders and MLAs including Harsh Dev Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Yash Pal Kundal besides the local leaders of district unit of the party.
The NPP leaders and activists highlighted the local issue of district Kishtwar and appealed to the party MLAs to raise the same in the assembly as well as other appropriate forums.
The major issues raised during the public meeting included poor connectivity in the district, portable drinking water problems, shortage of teaching staff in the schools, poor healthcare, lack of sewerage and drainage facilities in the Kishtwar town, unemployment issue problem of SPOs and VDCs besides others.
Speaking on the occasion Harsh Dev Singh and Working Chairman of the party assured to project the grievances and problems of the Kishtwar people at the appropriate forum. He expressed grave concern over the persistent neglect and deprivation of the people of erstwhile district Doda with regards to provision of even the basic amenities of the life including road connectivity, water supply and basic healthcare.
Expressing satisfaction over the huge power potential of the region, Harsh Dev Singh urged upon the govt. to fulfill the commitments made with localities pertaining to provision of free electricity from Dul-Hasti Project.
He sought adequate compensation to the people of Kishtwar in the form fixed share in the employment, free electricity and adequate monetary compensation for all lands effected or due to construction of Rattle Project and Pakul Dul Project.he called for early sanction of Nia Garh irrigation canal which could transform the agriculture economy of the area besides meeting the acute drinking water requirement.
He called for early sanction of sewerage and drainage facilities for Kishtwar town.
He further called for early filling up of all vacant posts of teachers in rural and for flung areas of Kishtwar district.
He called upon the people to maintain communal harmony of at costs.
Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA and state president lamented the raw deal given to SPOs and VDC members by the Govt despite onerous security responsibilities performed by them.
He sought increase in the honorarium and time bound regularization of all SPOs and VDC members.
Mankotia expressed grave concern over the pitiable plight of people inhabiting Marwa, Dachhan, Paddar, Inderwal areas and sought provision of adequate facilities for them, he laid particular emphasis on the poor health in fracture in the district and sought adequate health care facilities for the people.
