Sarwal hospital to have own blood bank

Jammu, Oct 31: MLA Jammu West, Chaman Lal Gupta inaugurated the AC ward at Sarwal Hospital, Jammu.
An amount of Rs. 10 lacs was paid from his constituency development fund for renovation of the ward for this purpose. A large number of people were present at the occasion.
Addressing the present, Chaman Lal Gupta said that providing for higher standard of medical facilities is his top priority.
He said that the air conditioned ward will be beneficial for the patients and their attendants.
He praised the cleanliness of the hospital and staff and added that with the inauguration of ac ward the hygienic conditions of the hospital will improve.
Chaman Lal Gupta told the audience that this is the first govt. hospital in entire state to have complete air conditioned OPD along with two wards.
Very soon the remaining wards will be air conditioned, he said.
Gupta disclosed that very soon the hospital is going to have its own blood bank. All the formalities in this connection have been fulfilled and the blood bank may be open in coming two to three months.
With the opening of the blood bank, many precious lives could be saved, he added. People will not have to suffer in the near future for lack of blood bank in the hospital.
Gupta also inaugurated 2 water coolers at the hospital.
An expense of Rs. 2 Lacs was incurred from the constituency development fund for the coolers.
Gupta thanked the people of his constituency for the love and affection they have given him over the years.
He thanked the God for blessing him with the service of humanity. He said that he is always available for the people of his constituency and any body can come to him for public grievances.
