One such polytechnic college shall also be established at Nagam in Chrar-i-Sharief constituency for which land has already been acquired.

He said the government is keen to make the future of youth bright, for which Sher-i-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youth (SKEWPY), first of its kind in the country, has been launched which has been appreciated even by the Planning Commission of India. He asked the youth to avail benefits of this novel employment policy to secure dignified job, not only for themselves but for others too.
The Government Treasury at Nagam is 8th Treasury in district Budgam raising the total number of treasuries in the Kashmir division to 66. The treasury would ease pressure on government treasury Chadoora and provide cash drawal facilities to about 21 drawing and disbursing officers.

He also announced Chadoora would be given the status of sub-district. He enumerated various under construction Road and Bridge projects in Chrar-i-Sharief constituency adding that Nagam-Lolipora-Gaggi Patheri road is being widened and macadamized at a cost of Rs. 16 crore. He said Kralwari Bridge has been completed at a cost of Rs. 12 crore while as the Nowpora bridge has been completed and shall be commissioned shortly. Likewise, Sogam-Badipora bridge and Panzan Bridge are under construction. These road projects would generate socio-economic activities in the area, Mr. Rather added.
