Omar thrills himself by speed, cars | Away from the storm | | Early Times Report New Delhi, Oct 31: Despite being in the eye of a `political' storm for the past one month, The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah took some time off from politics to thrill himself by speed and cars at the inaugural Indian Grand Prix at Greater Noida. His worker's mysterious death had an adverse effect on his `creative skills' so much so that he even stopped tweeting much to the disappointment of thousands of his fans on the micro blogging website. But he had his sons with him to convey everything was right at the `personal front'. He is likely to make an attempt to meet his icon, Michael Schumacher. Omar has not talked to media men in Srinagar for long but he did some `non-political' talking on a news channel. He advocated a case of tax benefits for this 'sport' and also went on to say that such events in India could turn out to be money spinners." If Singapore can make millions of dollars for a weekend of motorsport action, I see no reason why that cannot happen in India", Omar told the news channel. Omar praised the Jaypee Group for bringing motor racing to India. |
