| Kathua marketing society to sell medicine on discounted rates | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua Nov 1: The Chairman of the Kathua Marketing Society Karan Singh has implemented a rule to give the benefit of 3% less on total M.R.P on medicines to the customer for both the fair medical shop of society situated in both district hospital and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial hospital Kathua.
Karan Singh said that the Kathua Cooperative Marketing Society is the basic and fundamental asset of the people of the Kathua so this is not the property of an individual so its services should be made useful and accessible for each and every person of the Kathua.
He said that as a chairman of this society I sat on chair first time with very little bit experience but with a motive to provide the services of this marketing society to each and every person, I conducted my first meeting of directors of board headed by me to pass two decisions.
He told that very first important and useful decision was to give the whole benefit of discount up to 3% on M.R.P medicines for costumer, implemented on two fair medical shops of the marketing society both of which located in the premises of the district hospital and Mahatma Gandhi hospital each and second decision was to disburse the dividend among the 16 other societies which are functioning under the supervision of this Kathua Marketing Society.
He said all the decision would be come into active force right from first November of this year.
He said that few people tried to occupy this people’s asset with a motive to plunder but the mature and honest approach of the people gave a major defeat to fold their plundering which has been happening for last many years.
