| Dept of Agriculture urged to immediately arrange DAP fertilizer | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Sunderbani, Nov1: Member legislative Council and General Secretary & spokesperson PCC Ravinder Sharma addressed a largely attended meeting at Sunderbani in which the problems of people highlighted.
Sharma said that DAP fertilizer is not available in Nowshera-Sunderbani area and the farmers are running from pillar to post for the same, as the sowing season is going to be started within next 10 days.
He urged the department of Agriculture to immediately arrange DAP fertilizer for Nowshera-Sunderbani in the larger interest of the farmers.
Various deputations of the far-flung areas met Sharma and apprised him about their problems. A deputation of mid-day meal cooks of various schools especially from Lower Hathal apprised MLC that they have not received their wages for the last ten months.
Sharma asked the school authorities to immediately solve their problems. He (Sharma) was also told about the objection to the new recruitment policy by the educated youth of the area and demanded immediate review of the decision.
Sharma assured them that issue would be taken up with the Congress party and the government as well.
