| 1st Asif Memorial T-20 Cricket Tourney from today | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Nov 1: Organised by Young Star Cricket Club in collaboration with local clubs, the 1st Asif Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament will commence at Helipad ground Kulhand, Doda from tomorrow.
This was disclosed by Manzoor Ahmed Bhat, Patron YSCC while talking to media persons today.
While briefing media persons Batt said that a total of 30 teams from three different blocks including Ghat, Bhagwah and Marmat will be participating in the tournament. Manzoor also said that the main aim of holding this block level cricket tournament is to focus on the rural sports particularly cricket and to explore and boost cricket among the youth of these areas.
As per organizers, the tournament will be played on knock-out basis and the first inaugural match would be played between Pounda Eleven and Friends Cricket Club Dali.
Among others who were present in the press conference included Shakti Kumar and Masood Ahmed.
