YJKL resents new recruitment policy, holds protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 1:A massive protest demonstration was held under the banner of Youth of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh (YJKL); a movement, a platform floated by Jammu University Scholars, Students, College students, unemployed youth and by civil society to fight against the new recruitment policy announced by the state government recently. The students and scholars of Jammu University today boycotted their regular class work and assembled near Central library (Jammu University) where they shouted anti- government slogans and raised voice for revocation of the new policy. The protesting students then marched towards main gate to stage a sit in on the road. They blocked the vehicular movement for 2 hours where a minor scuffle between the police and students broke out. Hundreds of girl students were also part of the protest demonstration. While addressing the gathering Suresh Ajay Magotra chairman of the movement said that government is playing a dirty game with the future of the youngsters of the state. He also questioned the credibility of the political representatives of the state who are in one way or other involved in framing such a policy. He appealed to the masses of the state to come forward and counter this atrocious behaviour of the state government and also appealed to the young generation to fight tooth and nail against the decision.
