JAMMU, Nov 01: Semifinals position has been cleared in women’s singles with the entry
of title holder, Chandpreet Kour, Jahanvi, Surbhi Charak and Shzar in the last four stages
of the ongoing 26th Jammu District Table Tennis Championship at Indoor Complex, MA
Stadium, here today.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals, played today, Chandpreet defeated Shriya 11-05, 11-06 while
Jahanvi outplayed Apoorva 11-02, 11-07 as also Surbhi Charak beat Aishwaria 07-11,
11-07, 11-06, 13-11 and Shzar downed Nitani 11-09, 11-08, 14-12.
In junior girls’ singles event, Shzar shall be playing against Surbhi Charak in the final
tomorrow. Earlier, in the semi-finals, played today, Shzar beat Apoorva 11-01, 11-07, 09-
11, 11-07 and Surbhi beat Shreya 17-15, 02-11, 11-08, 07-11, 11-05.
Meanwhile, in men’s singles event, quarterfinals line-up has been drawn.
