JKNPP condemns new recruitment policy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 1:JKNPP State General Secretary and Spokesman Hari Chand Jalmeria has strongly condemned the new recruitment policy adopted by the coalition state government of NC-Congress whereby non-gazetted new recruits would be paid half salary. This anti-youth policy is directed towards exploitation of youth who are already under great strain and stress in this militancy affected state for over two decades. Instead of presenting itself as 'Model Employer' the state of Jammu and Kashmir, through the said recruitment policy has presented itself as the' exploitative of youth' employer. This is against the spirit and goal of establishing socialist state as enriched in the pre-amble of the Constitution. The present coalition government has proved itself to be anti-workers, anti-youth, anti-farmer. By introducing the said half-pay policy with regard to only the non-gazetted employees, the government is clear that it does not want any austerity measure with respect to Ministers, Chairman of Boards, Legislatures, Commissioner/Secretaries and other higher ups in the bureaucracy who are the biggest load on public exchequer. The new half pay policy is further violative of equal pay for equal work. He has demanded roll backing of the half-pay policy and asked for employment for the youth of the state at full pay scales.
