CJ inaugurates Electronic Facilitation Centre | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 01: In order to provide speedy justice to the people and quick disposal of the cases. The Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice F.M. Ibrahim Kalifulla today inaugurated the Electronic c Facilitation Centre in the High Court Complex, Srinagar. Justice Varinder Singh, Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir accompanied the Chief Justice. On this occasion, the Chief justice said that this is a latest technology like Bank ATM, where the Lawyer/Litigants would be able to see the status of their pending cases by a simple figure touch of a screen without the assistance of any person. He said by this technology, the litigants will be benefited to save their time and cost. He said a similar electronic facilitation centre would also be opened in Jammu Complex soon. Earlier, the High Court installed round the clock interactive voice Response system in both the wings of the high court for the facility of general public where case status information can be sought through a simple telephone call even from PCO. By installing the latest technology, J&K High Court has marched ahead in computerization technology and has been ranked as one amongst the five High Readiness High Courts of the Country. He said that under E-Courts Project, 20 District Court and 13 Tehsil Court Complexes a have been computerized so far. Judicial Registrar Abdul Rashid, Registrar Rules, Raja Shujat Ali and Registrar General Janak Raj Kotwal and members of law fraternity were also present on the occasion.
